The white football dude gets a job after leaving Colorado. Nobody wants to talk about it, but we will. It’s appropriate.
Now apologists might claim Sanders knew he would find employment quickly, maybe Sanders even fronted for him with the old well-known tactic in medicine, praising with faint praise to dump someone you need to blame or no longer want.
Or maybe Sanders just wanted to create a spot for one of his old football buddies, certainly his prerogative.
Though we have no information maybe there was something else. At any rate, expect some of the money in the now money-driven world of college football to go to attracting tight ends.
If not, well….
“Former Colorado assistant Tim Brewster has been hired as the new tight ends coach/associate head coach for the Charlotte football program, per ESPN's Pete Thamel.
“Brewster resigned from his position as Deion Sanders' tight ends coach after Colorado's disappointing conclusion of the 2023 season.
“Brewster, 63, has a wealth of coaching experience at both the college and pro levels. The former Minnesota head coach first joined Sanders as his tight ends coach for Jackson State in 2022, then followed him to Boulder for this past season with the Buffaloes.
“After starting the 2023 season with a red-hot 3-0 record, Coach Prime and Colorado stumbled through the finish line — losing eight of their final nine games and posting a 4-8 record.”
